George Lopez Comedian has become a pop culture icon. The politically active entertainer has won millions of dedicated fans through his television sitcoms, talk show, and stand-up comedy.
Lopez produced and starred in the groundbreaking sitcom George Lopez, which made history as one of the first shows starring and produced by a Latino for a general audience. The show ran on ABC for six seasons before being picked up for syndication by Nick at Night, where its ratings blew up, surpassing the viewership it received when it originally aired.
With several television and film credits under his belt – including his acclaimed acting performance in the landmark award-winning film Real Women Have Curves – George Lopez Comedian’s most recent work includes his comedy series Lopez on TV Land and his national comedy tour “The Comedy Get Down,” with Charlie Murphy, Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughley, and Cedric the Entertainer.
Lopez is the author of two best-selling memoirs Why You Crying? and I’m Not Gonna Lie And Other Lies You Tell When You Turn 50. His life is the subject of the award-winning documentary Brown is the New Green: George Lopez and the American Dream.

George Lopez is also starring in his new comedy series, Lopez on TV Land. Starring and produced by Lopez, the series explores how he struggles between his two worlds and crises that are often of his own making.
The half hour single camera serialized comedy consists of 12 episodes.Lopez was last seen in the Lionsgate inspirational drama, Spare Parts. Produced by Lopez, the film is based on a true story about four undocumented Mexican-American teenagers from Phoenix who team up to build an underwater robot that wins the national robotics competition.
In 2014, Lopez starred in the multi-camera ensemble comedy Saint George on FX, which he co-created.
George Lopez also voiced animated characters in a string of animated blockbuster films including Rafael in Rio and Rio 2 along with Jamie Foxx, Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg, Thurman in Escape from Planet Earth opposite Jane Lynch and Sofia Vergara, Grouchy Smurf in The Smurfs 1 and 2, and The Beverly Hills Chihuahua 1, 2, and 3.
His other most recent film credits include the box-office hit Valentine’s Day directed by Garry Marshall, Swing Vote, Henry Poole Is Here and Balls of Fury.
