Back in 1996, Orlando began his career as a Statistician in the Department of Epidemiology & Public Health at the University of Leicester, researching the demand for specialist health services. He later went on to work as a Capacity Analyst for the BBC, modelling demand for tech services, and then Head of Analytics for WPP. Fast forward to the present, and Orlando is sharing his expertise as the Chief Data Officer of Lego, where he is the Vice President of the Data Office. He also shares his time with work as a Non-Executive Director of the University of Cambridge and as the Chief Data Officer Governing Body Member of Evanta.
Before joining Lego, Orlando worked for five years as the Group Chief Data Scientist at Aviva and an Advisory Board Member of the European Data Science Academy. He also spent four years as the Chief Data Scientist and Head of Customer Science for MoneySuperMarket.com. Other prominent roles have included being the Head of Digital Solutions and Head of Insight Analysis for Dunhumby. He has also been a Non-Executive Director for Neos and volunteered as a Member of the Gender Equality Leadership Team of Business in the Community and a Mentor of the 30% Club UK. In recognition of his highly successful career, Orlando was ranked at No.1 on the 2019 DataIQ list of the Most Influential People in Data-Driven Businesses.
