Dave Moore is a Navy and Air Force decorated aviator and officer. He survived three plane crashes, flew through three hurricanes while performing search and rescue with the Coast Guard, and has logged 39 combat missions in the Middle East in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

As a former Coast Guard Search & Rescue Pilot and Air Force combat pilot, Dave’s story is one of resilience, leadership, and unwavering courage. From the depths of fear to the heights of triumph, Dave’s experiences have shaped him into a captivating keynote speaker, inspiring audiences worldwide.
From a young age, Dave Moore was captivated by the allure of flight. His dream was to become a professional pilot, and he pursued it with unwavering determination. Every aspect of his life was consumed by his passion for aviation, driving him to excel academically and physically to achieve his goal.
At the age of 23, Dave’s dream was shattered when he experienced his first plane crash, a near-fatal encounter that left him grappling with intense fear. The trauma of the crash cast a dark shadow over his once bright future, leading him to believe that his aviation career was over before it truly began. Dave found himself paralyzed by fear, unable to board an aircraft without drowning his anxieties in alcohol.
Despite the debilitating fear that threatened to derail his aspirations, Dave refused to succumb to defeat. Drawing upon his innate resilience, he charted a new course for himself, embarking on a career in outside sales. However, his passion for aviation continued to beckon him, refusing to be silenced by fear alone.
Years later, Dave made the courageous decision to confront his fears head-on, reigniting his passion for aviation. With unwavering determination, he reclaimed his identity as a pilot, refusing to let past traumas dictate his future. Through sheer grit and perseverance, Dave not only conquered his fear but emerged stronger and more resilient than ever before.

From navigating treacherous storms as a Coast Guard pilot to flying combat missions in the Middle East, he faced danger head-on with unwavering courage and commitment. A huge part of Dave Moore story, my passion, and the constant theme in my life is aviation. We all need a passion that drives us beyond mediocrity toward fulfillment of our destiny. We tend to go through the motions in life, not really setting out to accomplish anything specific.
It’s like we’re on autopilot, not really taking the controls and steering ourselves in a particular direction. Many people get to a point in life where they have accepted mediocrity too many times and wandered off course so far that they can never correct their course. But if you are aware of who you are, what you stand for, and what you want to accomplish, your life will be a lot more meaningful and happier.
At any point in your life, you can change your mind-set and become the person you want to be. But first, you have to wake up. When you do that, you can become the person you want to be, and you can achieve anything. You must wake up to win. – Dave Moore
