Alistair Appleton has been a British media favourite for over two decades. Having fronted some of the BBC’s most popular daytime and primetime series, Alistair is an instantly recognisable face in the industry.
A trained psychotherapist and meditation instructor, Alistair is known for his promotion of mental wellbeing through mindfulness. Having been openly gay throughout his career, Alistair now uses his established platform to educate on the effects of a lack of inclusion, the impact of mindful living and how both can relate to a corporate environment.
Best known for his long-standing position as the presenter of Escape to the Country, Alistair Appleton has fronted the property programme since 2007, where he shows prospective buyers homes in rural areas.
Alistair is a versatile presenter, and throughout his career, he has been the face of Cash in the Attic, Garden Invaders and hosted the iconic BBC The Proms. As such a high-profile presenter, Alistair is ideally suited to live events, with audiences knowing him from his extensive media career.
