Her life story fuels her mission. After losing her mother to breast cancer at age nine, Maria struggled with grief, loneliness and obesity. Maria Marin’s personal experiences is a source of inspiration. Her mother died of breast cancer when she was 9 years old. Her loneliness drove her to find comfort in food, and she struggled with being overweight.
