One of the most powerful voices in business, Whitney Wolfe Herd has an extraordinary resume – founder of Bumble, the world’s youngest, female, self-made billionaire, the youngest woman in history to have taken a company public, a Forbes “30 Under 30” alumni, one of TIME’s “Most Influential People” and an advocate for online safety laws.

Wolfe Herd, recently stepped down as Bumble’s CEO, remaining in the role of Executive Chair. Positioning the company for the next phase of growth over the next 10 years, Wolfe Herd will serve a hands-on role contributing in areas like public policy and social impact. A critical part of this growth includes leading AI innovations in dating through a female centered lense.

When she founded Bumble in 2014, Wolfe Herd had one central mission in mind: to help women make the first move online, first in dating and then in friendship and networking. The barrier breaking company has over 2.5 million paying users.

Central to Bumble’s success is the strength of its community and protection of its users. Wolfe Herd focused her sights on expanding safety measures across the internet. In 2019, she successfully backed the Lewd Photo Law, testifying in front of both the Texas State House and Senate, and pressed lawmakers to make the unsolicited sending of lewd nude images punishable by law. The measure — House Bill 2789 — passed the Texas Senate unanimously and became law on September 1st, 2019. Wolfe Herd plans to continue the fight to provide the same protections for people online as exist offline.

Beyond her business accolades, Wolfe Herd highlights the significance of healthy relationships. Data shows that unhealthy relationships negatively impact mental health, career and wellbeing. By creating spaces for people to form meaningful and authentic attachments, Wolfe Herd is fostering connections that empower and transform.
