Se-ah-dom Edmo (Shoshone-Bannock, Nez Perce, and Yakama) is a nationally respected community organizer and justice advocate with deep experience advancing racial, social, and tribal justice across the United States. Her work centers on strengthening tribal sovereignty while building meaningful collaboration between tribes and organizations engaged in social, environmental, and economic justice.
Prior to joining Seeding Justice, Se-ah-dom served as Sovereignty Program Director at the Western States Center, where she convened the Tribal History: Shared History coalition. This work led to the passage of Oregon Senate Bill 13 in 2017, establishing and funding the teaching of Indian history and tribal sovereignty in K–12 public schools statewide.
Se-ah-dom is also a co-editor of the Tribal Equity Toolkit 3.0: Tribal Resolutions and Codes for Two Spirit and LGBT Justice in Indian Country and American Indian Identity: Citizenship, Membership and Blood. She is an ALF Senior Fellow, serves on the Steering Committee of Oregon Recovers, and is Chair of the Board of Oregon Consumer Justice.
