Tom Crean began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Michigan State University under the tutelage of Tom Izzo, where he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of the game. In 1999, Crean took the helm at Marquette University, where he transformed the program into a national powerhouse. Under his leadership, Marquette made multiple NCAA Tournament appearances, including a memorable run to the Final Four in 2003.
