Ali Brown started her first business with less than $20 in the bank, and grew it to a multi-million dollar company.

Learn why she said YES to being on ABC’s hit primetime show, and how her journey of self-responsibility led her from power to influence.

Her inspiring message of stepping up for yourself while also reaching out to help others will leave your audience refreshed and inspired.

Women’s New Role in Business and the World

Can you feel it?

There’s a change in the air.

The old way of doing business isn’t working anymore.

The world is embarking on a major self-correction from the masculine back to the feminine. From competition to compassion.

Whether you’re a corporate professional or an entrepreneur, there has never been a more ideal time for women to step up—and recent studies and data are documenting the trend.

Best of all, studies are showing that empowering women is not only helping our companies and economies, but it’s helping to heal the world.

Ali shares the 7 compelling trends that are paving the path for women to step out of the supporting role and into the spotlight.

Using Your Business to Help Give Back

Most business owners don’t feel they have the time or resources to give back to the community in a meaningful way. They may write a check now and then, but they mistakenly believe they must attain a certain level of success first, and then move into philanthropic work.

In this session, Ali will share her personal journey featured on the 2011 season finale of ABC’s Secret Millionaire, and how true success comes when you open yourself up to what you can give today.

You’ll walk away with concrete strategies you can implement in your business and life right away to start making a difference in your local community—even if you think you don’t have much to give.

How to Be CEO of Your Own Career

Gone are the days of job security and single career tracks. Ali shares her insights, inspiration, and advice on designing and living the success of your dreams, based on her work with hundreds of women around the world.

This is a must-attend presentation for women who want to move up the corporate ladder quickly or leverage their skills to rapidly grow a business.

Humble Beginnings
Ali Brown, a native of Fairfield County, Conn., cut her teeth in marketing in her early 20s, starting as an account assistant at Mosby Consumer Health in Boston and working her way up to head the new publishing division at The Benjamin Group advertising agency in New York.

Freelance
Desiring creative freedom and financial independence, Ali became a freelance marketing communications writer in 1999. Starting with only a dial-up Internet connection, a personal computer, and her basic writing skills, Ali built a thriving practice, eventually attracting prestigious clients such as New York Times Digital, Adweek Magazine, Scholastic Books, and Dun & Bradstreet.

First Magazine
In 2001, she started publishing her first email newsletter, or “ezine,” to help market her business. It worked well to gain her clients, so she authored an e-book titled “Boost Business with Your Own E-zine.” Ali sold it on her website, and it won several International APEX Awards. Based on its success, she then created dozens of additional courses and products sold online to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses and profit.

Publishing Empire
Today, Ali Brown is the inspirational driving force behind a rapidly expanding multimillion-dollar empire that includes Ali Magazine, Ali Boutique, the Millionaire Protégé Club, and SHINE.

SHINE
Ali’s annual live event SHINE is designed to inspire entrepreneurs to think creatively about marketing, and to take the smart risks that allow their businesses to thrive no matter what state the economy is in. Ali provides hands-on exercises and personal coaching at each of her events, where she has interviewed numerous inspiring women including real estate mogul and star of ABC’s Shark Tank, Barbara Corcoran, Baby Einstein founder Julie Clark and Academy Award® winning actress Marlee Matlin.

Media

When she’s not traveling the world for speaking engagements or media appearances, Ali runs her business from her beachside home. Her success has caught the attention of Inc. Magazine, which placed her on their list of the 500 fastest-growing companies in the nation in 2009. Additionally, Ali has been interviewed on the E! network as well as numerous NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, and CW network affiliates.

Philanthropy
Ali Brown believes that philanthropy goes hand-in-hand with success. Her next project will be forming a foundation to empower underprivileged girls to achieve their dreams through entrepreneurship.
