Before embarking on his illustrious career as a motivational speaker, author, and coach, Mike Robbins’ journey was marked by a passion for sports and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Hailing from St. Augustine, Florida, Mike’s talent on the baseball diamond caught the attention of none other than the New York Yankees, who drafted him straight out of high school. However, driven by a desire for both academic and athletic excellence, Mike opted to further his education and athletic career at Stanford University, where he showcased his prowess as a pitcher in the revered College World Series.
Despite facing setbacks, Mike’s resilience and determination propelled him forward. Following his collegiate success, he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals, marking the beginning of a promising professional baseball career. For three seasons, Mike donned the Royals’ jersey, displaying grit and dedication on the field. However, fate had other plans, as arm injuries prematurely halted his playing career while still in the minor leagues.
Adversity often serves as a catalyst for transformation, and for Mike Robbins, it was no different. Embracing the challenges that came his way, Mike transitioned into the realm of sales and business development, leveraging his innate ability to connect with others and drive results. Yet, it was the burst of the dot-com bubble in 2000 that sparked a profound shift in Mike’s trajectory.
