Jennifer Grey is best known for her iconic portrayal of Baby opposite Patrick Swayze in the beloved classic Dirty Dancing , which earned her a Golden Globe nomination for best actress.
Currently she is featured in the Lifetime Original Movie, Gwen Shamblin: Starving for Salvation. She also starred in the critically acclaimed Amazon series Red Oaks. She won season eleven of Dancing with the Stars. Her breakout movie role was as Matthew Broderick’s bitter sister in John Hughes’s Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

Her numerous film, television and theater credits span decades, including starring roles in Zoetrope’s sailing masterpiece Wind, singing a duet alongside Madonna in Bloodhounds on Broadway, as a guerrilla fighter in John Milius’s Red Dawn, her Ace-award nominated taxi dancer in Peter Bogdanovich’s episode of the Showtime series Fallen Angels.
She played herself for three seasons on It’s Like You Know and appeared on Friends, The New Adventures of Old Christine, House, and more recently on Grey’s Anatomy. Her first movie role was opposite Daryl Hannah in Reckless and was followed by playing a ganger’s mol opposite Nicolas Cage in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Cotton Club. Jennifer Grey is currently teaming up with Lionsgate on the long-awaited sequel of Dirty Dancing, which she will star in and executive produce. She lives in Los Angeles.
