A 1 hour and 29 minute Masters Speak session where Erich Joachimsthaler explains The Interaction Field, showing leaders how platforms, ecosystems and connectivity redefine branding and growth.
In this 1 hour and 29 minute Masters Speak conversation, Erich Joachimsthaler introduces his core idea of The Interaction Field and how it transforms strategy, branding and growth in a hyper connected world. After a brief introduction from the host, he traces the evolution of branding across four eras: logic, emotion, experience and now shared value. Earlier eras focused on meeting functional needs, then adding emotional meaning and experiential differentiation. Today, he argues, value is created by orchestrating interactions among many participants, not just by pushing messages about products.
Erich shows how the shift from tangible assets to intangible assets in the late twentieth century set up a “brand revolution.” Now a new shift is underway driven by connectivity. From the early internet through mobile and social to today’s combination of cloud, IoT, AI and other technologies, connectivity has exploded. The strategic question becomes how to leverage that connectivity to build businesses that create value for customers, partners and society.
Using examples, he contrasts pipeline businesses in a “world of walls” with interaction field businesses. Domino’s Pizza illustrates how a seemingly undifferentiated product can become a leader by reimagining interactions, data and technology.
Vivaldi CEO Erich Joachimsthaler demonstrates the four principles that define the new model for building brands.
A traditional approach to communications with consumers is no longer enough with the increasing role of digital and social channels. Length is not enough. Laughing is not enough. An emotionalization of the brand is required. The road from heart strings to purse strings. Erich Joachmisthaler, CEO Vivaldi Partners, Author of Hidden in Plain Sight, How to find and execute your company's next big growth strategy.

Speaker fees can vary depending on factors such as expertise, demand, and event specifics. While some speakers may charge a flat fee for their services, others may have hourly rates. It’s best to discuss fee structures directly with the speaker or their representative to understand the pricing model.
Keynote speeches typically range from 30 to 90 minutes, with the duration determined by the speaker’s expertise, the event’s agenda, and audience preferences. Keynote speeches often include a combination of inspirational stories, practical insights, and actionable advice tailored to the event’s theme or objectives.
The scale of the event and audience size can indeed impact a speaker’s fee. Larger events with a broader reach or higher attendance may command higher fees due to increased exposure and demand. Conversely, smaller events or niche audiences may offer opportunities for more flexible pricing arrangements.
Travel expenses such as transportation, accommodation, and meals are typically negotiated separately from the speaker’s fee. These costs vary depending on the speaker’s location, travel distance, and event duration. It’s important to clarify travel arrangements and expenses during the booking process to avoid misunderstandings.
Many speakers require a deposit to secure a booking, with the remaining balance due closer to the event date. Deposits are often non-refundable and serve as a commitment from both parties. It’s advisable to discuss deposit requirements and payment terms with the speaker or their representative when finalizing the booking.
