For more than 30 years, Bruce has explored how technology evolves and how real innovation takes root inside organizations. His career began at IBM in 1988, followed by senior roles at WordPerfect, Novell, and Gartner. In 2002 he founded S2 Intelligence, a research think tank dedicated to helping organizations innovate through evidence-based analysis of emerging technologies. As an independent adviser, he has supported multinational corporations, government bodies, universities, and global innovation labs. Bruce holds a PhD in organizational and technological innovation, bringing academic rigor to his hands-on, investigative work.

Bruce McCabe has explored emerging technologies and how innovation happens for 30 years. He began his career at IBM in 1988 and went on to hold senior roles at IBM, WordPerfect, Novell and Gartner. In 2002 he founded S2 Intelligence, a think tank to support organizational innovation through grounded research into new and emerging technologies.
He served as an independent adviser to a long list of multinationals, governments, universities and innovation labs. He holds a PhD in organizational and technological innovation. When he’s not speaking at events, Bruce McCabe podcasts and writes about the near future.
