Mustafa Suleyman is a leading figure in artificial intelligence, technology strategy, and global AI governance. He currently leads Microsoft’s consumer AI business, reporting directly to the CEO and overseeing the expansion of Copilot, Bing search, and the Edge browser, placing him at the center of how billions of people interact with AI every day.
Mustafa is the co-founder of Inflection AI, an AI-first company focused on building personal AI systems. Prior to that, he co-founded DeepMind, one of the world’s most influential AI organizations, which was acquired by Google. At DeepMind, he served as Head of Applied AI and later led DeepMind for Google, integrating advanced AI technologies across major Google products.
He joined Google full time in 2019 as Vice President of AI Products and AI Policy, working at the intersection of innovation, ethics, and global governance. In 2022, Mustafa became a Venture Partner at Greylock, where he focused on AI investment and company building.
Mustafa is the author of The Coming Wave, a widely discussed examination of how artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies will reshape power, society, and global stability.
