Travel and tourism maestro Philippe Bourguignon has dedicated over 40 years to the industry, working in senior roles across Europe Disney, Walt Disney Company and Club Med.
Credited with his abilities to transform the global image of a brand, particularly in the travel sector, Philippe currently acts as the Vice Chairman of Revolution Places, and sits on numerous international boards as an authority on developing authentic experiences and future-proofed businesses.
Having made influential contributions from the Middle East to the United States, Philippe is perfectly placed to offer implementable advice on a range of business topics as a speaker for corporate clients.
One of the most established brands in the world is Walt Disney, and Philippe has played an essential role in the European development of the multi media giant.
For four years Philippe fronted the real estate of Disney in America, before returning to Paris to act as the CEO and Chairman of Euro Disney. Responsible for its continued success, he implemented innovative strategy, utilising his expertise in consumer travel experience.
Revered for his influence on the international brand, Philippe later fronted Club Med, Miraval Arizona and Exclusive Resorts as the CEO of each, proving his insight is invaluable across continents and brands.
Philippe Bourguignon is a partner of Revolution, created by Steve Case to invest and build disruptive, innovative companies that offer more choice, convenience, and control for both consumers and businesses.
He is responsible for a portfolio of company’s where Revolution has invested: Vinfolio, Framebridge, BusBud, SRS Acquiom and Cava Grill.
Today, Philippe Bourguignon is an active investor and advisor for Worldview (a new space tourism company with plans to deliver passengers to the stratosphere as early as 2017) and a member of the board of Neiman Marcus, In addition, he also sits on the global board of Operation Hope, a non-profit organization with a vision to eradicate poverty, and Planet Finance helping to create the conditions for a better life for future generations across the world. He previously served as a member of the board of directors for Zipcar and spent 11-years on the board at eBay.
Philippe is also a co-founder of the Monthly Barometer. The Barometer is a subscription service that enables executives and leaders from around the world to anticipate and leverage emerging trends, using “contextual intelligence” methods to analyze the macro issues relevant to decision-makers.
It has been in existence for more than ten years and has a remarkably accurate track record.
