With nearly two decades of experience covering politics, global markets, and international relations, she is one of the most trusted voices in political journalism today.

    As only the second female moderator in the program’s history, Margaret leads Face the Nation with a commitment to fact-based reporting, thoughtful dialogue, and in-depth analysis of the most pressing issues shaping the world.     Before joining CBS News, Margaret spent a decade reporting on global financial markets.     Margaret Brennan graduated with highest distinction from the University of Virginia in 2002, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs and Middle East studies with a minor in Arabic. As a Fulbright-Hays Scholar, she studied Arabic at Yarmouk University in Irbid, Jordan. She is also the recipient of an honorary doctor of letters degree from Niagara University.
