    Aileen Lee is a renowned venture capitalist, startup advisor, and founder of Cowboy Ventures, where she partners with early-stage enterprise and consumer startups to help build products customers love and companies with lasting impact. With more than two decades of experience in venture capital, operations, and entrepreneurship, Aileen is widely respected for identifying and supporting transformative founders from the earliest stages of growth.

    Before launching Cowboy Ventures, Aileen spent more than a decade at Kleiner Perkins, working closely with startups from Series A through IPO. Her portfolio involvement included companies such as Bloom Energy, Rent the Runway, and Trendyol. During her tenure, she also served as founding CEO of KPCB-backed RMG Networks, gaining firsthand operational leadership experience in scaling high-growth businesses.

    Earlier in her career, Aileen held operating roles at Gap Inc. and began her professional journey at Morgan Stanley. Her combination of investing, operational leadership, and strategic advising has made her a trusted voice in entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup growth.

    Prior to Cowboy, Aileen spent over a decade with the venture firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. At KPCB she worked hands-on with companies from series A through IPO including Bloom Energy (BE), Rent the Runway (RENT), and Trendyol (acquired by Alibaba). During that time she was also founding CEO of KPCB-backed RMG Networks, a digital media company. Aileen previously held operating roles at Gap Inc. and started her career at Morgan Stanley.
